With his first edition of sculptures, Fvckrender finds physical form for an abstract self.

Canadian artist Fvckrender combines a surreal, symbol-laden mode of autobiography and a fascination with the behaviour of light to create hyperreal digital artworks. Fittingly, TOUCHED// envelops the composition of SELF_HELP// – an earlier NFT work which documented the artist tackling a personal crisis with methodical perseverance – in a glistening chameleon finish. A trio of outstretched hands impart a soothing influence on the face they reach towards.

“Art is a way to clear my mind. It's a way to celebrate the wins and leave behind the losses.”

After launch, collectors of TOUCHED// will be invited to claim a corresponding NFT.

Fvckrender2 collaborationsFvckrender creates epic digital compositions – from arid sci-fi landscapes to opulent still life. Works are futuristic, surreal and rich with symbolism. Snakes, for example, represent manipulation. Flowers, emotion. Chains, community. These recurring visual metaphors amass into an alternate world. Likewise, the artist has developed his own metaverse. There, he can exhibit artworks exactly as he chooses – creating immersive online environments. Fvckrender’s process is intuitive, particularly inspired by nature and light. “I take a lot of photographs of how light interacts with its surroundings,” he explains. “Then I alter it in a way that wouldn't make sense in real life.” This attention to illusion resonates throughout his practice. His first non-digital sculpture EXISTENCE// (2021), for example, takes the form of a two metre high, gravity-defying chain.

I absolutely love the textured details. The picture literally pops off the canvas and the floating frame encompasses those details perfectly. Amazing job by Jake Fried and the Avant Arte team! I'm excited for my next purchase.
