Pensamiento-nube, originally painted in 2008, is inspired by the Romantics and his daily meditation practice. True to its title, Autorretrato en tarde rosa translates to Self-portrait on a pink afternoon, where the composition features the artist himself as a small meditating figure. This subtle detail symbolises his presence not as a dominator but as a reverent witness to nature's power.
To create the editions, printers at Make-Ready have faithfully translated two of Tomás's hyperrealistic landscape paintings into print, capturing the depth of his Romantic-inspired palette and fidelity of his intricate brushstrokes.
