Ripcache goes incognito with an edition of surveillance-inspired prints, each holding its own secret.

Tribute to Ripcache's commentary on privacy and binary visual language, Security pushes the boundaries of printmaking as an edition of 32 unique prints. Behind a triangle in the lower left corner lies a private key, granting access to a wallet which contains an accompanying NFT. The private keys are concealed beneath scratchable black ink – only revealed if a collector chooses to deface their artwork. Would you vandalise your print to gain access?

Each print is paired with an NFT of the same artwork. Claiming instructions will be shared with collectors after launch.

Framing

Prints can be ordered float-mounted on an off-white backing in a bespoke unglazed frame made from black painted wood. Frames are unglazed to allow collectors to scratch the print's surface and reveal their unique access code.

Medium

5 layer silk screen print on 352gsm Mohawk Superfine Smooth paper with unique private code printed in black and concealed beneath black rub-off ink.

Finishing

Unsigned (unique security key acts as authentication).

Behind the scenes

Ripcache1 collaborationRipcache's artwork explores the overlaps between technology, surveillance and identity. Through art, he provides thoughtful perspectives on blockchain's influence on privacy and anonymity. Using a 1-bit palette and pixelated aesthetics, Ripcache pays tribute to the origins of computing and celebrates limitations as the driving force of creativity. Each hand-drawn piece holds the artist's unique touch and draws attention to the harmonious dance between human inventiveness and machine capabilities.
